Couldn't package a simple project. Is it my computer not having enough memory?

I didn’t do hardly anything to the simple test map in UE5 since I got this new laptop earlier this week, and I can’t seem to package my project. The last time I tried, it took forever and eventually failed. I looked at the errors in the output log:

The “Ran out of memory allocating 14676175 bytes with alignment 1” is what it interesting me. Is it implying that the laptop not having enough memory caused all the other errors, which caused the packaging to fail? Because the installed RAM is 8 GB with 7.68 GB being usable. I also have a 12th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i5-1235U 1.30 GHz processor and there’s a sticker on here that says “intel iRISx graphics” which I assume is the graphics card.

8 gig is on the lower side - try increasing the size of your windows page file:

I had the same Problem, but found a solution for this. This is my game installed locaiton

  • “E:\UE_5.1\Engine\Config\BaseEditor.ini”. As shown in the Location open the baseeditor.ini txt file and search for (MemoryMinFreePhysical=*****
    MemoryMinFreeVirtual=***) in the file. i had MemoryMinFreePhysical=2048
    MemoryMinFreeVirtual=2048. then i changed it to 512 in both options. so wat is happening is when your memory is below 2048 cooking is not happening. becoz it ll cook only when this memory is available for it. now bringing it down, just made my life so easy. everything gets cooked properly. give it a try and let me know if u still have issue. also when u start cooking try opening your task manager and go to performance option. u ll see the memory usage and what is free. when it start cooking memory starts draining out. this should help i hope.

HOLY COW! I just updated to 5.4.1 and despite the MemoryMinFreePhysical and MemoryMinFreeVirtual being 2048, it actually packaged.
