Could we PLEASE get A/B Thumbnail testing capabilities

A/B Testing is a feature that everyone would happily welcome. It’s something we’ve needed for a long time, but now more than ever, when competition is greater, Discovery time is fickle and slight iterations to thumbnails make vast differences, it would really help us as creators.

How it works?
Allow us to upload Two Thumbnails that get reviewed and set a threshold for impressions + time, for example, 10,000 Impressions and 2 Days. The Two Thumbnails are served 50/50 for each player viewing Discover but after the 2 Day time limit, the thumbnail that received the highest % of clicks will be automatically chosen as the winner and then the only Thumbnail visible until creators submit a new version of their maps.

We should also get the results of these as it will help us analyse the disparities in clicks between the thumbnails and improve on this key marketing point going forward.

Psst. if we do get this capability, it would be great to have the same tech applied to our ‘Titles’ as well

Thanks!

If this gets implemented algorithm and rows like Trending should be adjusted.

Low quality maps with good thumbnails actually kill the platform. With AB testing added creators will further focus on making good thumbnails instead of good maps.

Imagine following scenario: you are a regular Fortnite BR player that decides to try out Creative. You are obviously going to click maps with good/clickbait thumbnails. If unlucky you are going to land in low quality maps and be heavily discouraged to try Creative ever again.

This happened to many people I know, they assume everything is just bad after this initial expression.

By saying low quality I mean low playtime, not some kind of subjective metric like graphics. Unfortunately rows like Trending seem to boost this kind of maps.

@iiiSAndman Thank you for your feedback. While I cannot guarantee a response, I can confirm that this has been forwarded to the appropriate team.
