Correct setup when working with 1 sided meshes?

Hi guys, when working with 1 sides meshes (poly planes) as walls, ceiling, floor, do I need to set the material to two-sided and in the details panel, set the actor to “Use Two Sided Lighting” and “Shadow Two Sided”?
Or is applying a two-sided material enough and is basically like turning the other options under detail panel to be on by default?

All these options… confusing :S

You’re making an improper use of the plans and two side material. A polygon (plane) is composed from its normal than reflecting light and by its opposite side which is transparent and allows light to pass. To create a wall you have to use two opposing plans. Think to the thickness of a wall and use the opposing plans to create the correct shadows. The use of two side material generally produces incorrect and bad shadows.

Good to know, thank you!
