Copyright when making a parody of a movie?

Well in my case no longer that a 10 min short films parody representation.
I finished reading this:

http://borgus.com/legal.htm

And from what i understand is completly free to use a movie as a artistic representation for commercial use as long as you dont put the movie to shame?(which i will not do)
Obviously change the title, character names and the way the story goes as long as its not a copy/paste of the original.

If you are not using material from the original production you can make fun of anything for as long as you want if it’s clearly a parody. Spaceballs comes to mind that did a funny number on Star Wars.

Dude I been a member of this DMCA copyright protection http://www.dmca.com/. I been a musician over 34 year, and the music industry isnt as gental with plagiarist in beat or grammar.

Tip of the Ice.

You would be luck to sniff the tail end of the Studio Producer? Hence Producer? Wicked World.
Beethoven said to change a nation, you must change it`s music.

Agree. You’d better consider these.

Be aware that fair use and parody are not laws but recommendations. If you get sued, the final decision is on judge and its in his will to decide if fair use or parody are applicable in specific case.

Nice. I never thought about this until now.
