Copyright when creating architecture

So we are currently in the process of designing the environment for a game which we intend to sell, i was wondering if anybody knows about if its okay to recreate an existing building? lets say a house designed by a famous architect that is still alive as an example?

Ive seen people sell ue4 environments with houses in them designed by famous architects, i was under the assumption that this would be a copyright infringement?

Would love to know what you guys think!

I believe there is some form of copyright on building designs, I’m not sure the specifics though.

I thought so too, atleast when looking into it, i was hoping i missed something as many people seem to be doing it with no issues.
