Hello everyone!

I am interested in the question of checking the copyright of uploaded content. There is an author on the site who has been selling other people’s works since the day Fab opened.

I can say that most of his products do not belong to him. He has animal models from PROTOFACTOR, he has posted works by Malbers, he has posted my models for sale. How do his products pass verification if he essentially posts a duplicate of a 3D model already sold on the site?
In addition, some of the other people’s works have already been deleted after filing a complaint. BUT, his account is still active!!

What should happen for him to be banned on the Fab site?

I know that many are blocked for some minor violations or erroneous checks, after which they have to restore their products on the site again (I myself spent 1 week in an erroneous ban).

Indeed pretty suspicious, i just check his products: naming a weapon just “arm” and description just “arm”. :neutral_face:

Unfortunately I doubt they will be banned, I don’t think Epic did that in the past even once (despite this not being first situation).

What you can do to help, is to let know the original copyright holders so they can issue DMCA take down requests to Epic.
