Cook Failure?

After upgrading to 4.26 this happens when i try to package for android

UATHelper: Packaging (Android (ASTC)): ERROR: Cook failed.
UATHelper: Packaging (Android (ASTC)): (see C:\Users\Vic3Vers4\AppData\Roaming\Unreal Engine\AutomationTool\Logs\C+Program+Files+Epic+Games+UE_4.26\Log.txt for full exception trace)
UATHelper: Packaging (Android (ASTC)): AutomationTool exiting with ExitCode=25 (Error_UnknownCookFailure)
UATHelper: Packaging (Android (ASTC)): BUILD FAILED
PackagingResults: Error: Unknown Cook Failure

I would also like to add to this, I can launch the project and test it on my tablet just fine, I cannot package the project for android anymore

In my experience with this issue, there have been a few ways I have found to fix it.

  • The first thing I would try would be to delete the “Saved”, “Binaries”, “Build”, “DerivedDataCache” and “Intermediate” folders and then reopening the project and attempting to package your game again.

I have a few other strategies to fix this, but try my first solution and if the problem persists you should send the packaging log here and ill help you out further.
