My goal was to create an environment where Lumen’s global illumination could work really well. The enormous church interior is lit by the bounced light coming from the narrow windows, and from the emissives of the candle flames augmented by some point lights.
It was my first time lighting a pre-rendered scene and using Movie Render Queue, which paired with lacking hardware resources lead to some unsatisfying results regarding mostly the volumetric fog shafts, lit particles and general exposure and light intenisty problems, so there is definitely room for improvement.
