Hey there @El_Yes92! Welcome to the community! Material instances are just instances of a master material themselves and only hold parameter data. There’s not a regular method to translate an instance to a new material, as the instance is technically just parameter data. I would recommend making a copy of the original master material, then translate the parameters manually to the defaults of the new master material if you have a small amount of assets that require this.
