I know this is something that used to be a problem in Unreal engine 4 and i couldnt find any info about converting a local variable to a member variable in UE5 anywhere so i made a Plugin that lets you convert any Local variable in a blueprint to a member variable. You just right click on the set node for the local variable and then “convert to member” This does NOT disconnect that variable when its converted so you will not lose any references or connections anywhere at all.
Id like to know how many people would be interested in that plugin, if theres interest (or if this is not already possible in UE5) I will sell it on fab marketplace for a very reasonable price. Its ready to go for versions 5.1 - 5.6
