Convert Laser Scan point cloud to mesh

Hi,

How to convert laser scanned point cloud to mesh? My workflow as follow:

  1. Import Lidar data, then do normal mesh

2)Color/Texture the model

  1. Simplify the model

  2. Export to OBJ

Is it correct ? I found in the step 2 - color or texture the model makes the color dirty especially for indoor scenario.

What’s the best practice to convert point cloud to mesh?
