Hi! I know Destructible Meshes have now been replaced by the Chaos tool in UE5. But anyone know of a way to ‘convert’ existing DM assets so that UE5 recognizes them as destructible, or are they in no way compatible? I’ve searched for answers and all I’ve found is summarized by ‘use Chaos now’. But no info on whether conversion is possible.
Reason for asking: I have a project in 4.27 and would love to take advantage of 5.1, but not if it means having to rebuild the many DMs I have. Currently, opening this project in 5.1 makes these DMs just regular static meshes with no collision. The DM shows up in the Content Folder, but I’m unable to assign it to a slot in the Blueprint like I am in 4.27.
