I’ve found that, no matter where the geo cache is on the timeline, my alembic caches just sort of play on their own during render (although when scrubbing through the timeline, or even playing in the viewport, they do what they’re supposed to). Is there a way to “freeze” first and/or last frames of a cache so things will stay put, without adding hundreds of still frames to my alembic caches at their creation (Maya/Houdini)?

I’m struggling with that issue too. Did you find the solution?

Bro,i’ve found only one way, is to animate parameter “running” inside geometry cache

Select cache in outliner and disable checkbox “looping” in properties
This worked for me
