I am new to rigging and new to unreal, I am trying to make a control rig with IK legs. Everything on the legs works perfectly except for where they are supposed to follow the waist control. When i move the waist down, the legs stay still an the body moves through the legs. I am not sure what caused the issue. I have followed a few tutorials on how to make the rig and i do exactly what they do and this issue persists. Attached is the hierarchy, the visual issue, and the node path
This is something that you will have to try and error.
Anyway, try to take a look at the Bone structure. Your controls are dependable with the bone structure. I see your foot controls are the same level as your waist, so all your leg bones (not controls) need to be the CHILD of the pelvis bone. Double-check on the bone structure.
To know if the bone structure works, you can try to disconnect these two IKTwoBone nodes and your whole legs should translate together with the pelvis bone.
The image below shows that when I translate the pelvis bone to -z the legs should follow.
Hey man thank you, while this wasnt exatcly what was going on it made me think at the problem differently, the issue wasnt with the leg nodes its self it was with the waist and cog movement.
