Control Rig: single chain IK solver?

Most of the time we use IK to solve between 3 bones: A, B, C.

Question: In Control Rig, is there a (Single Chain) IK solver that solves between 2 bones: A, B?

A B C aren’t bones.
In your drawings there is only 2 bones. A and B, on which you labeled the origin joint.

There are tons of different solvers in animation BP and Control Rig. Try fabirk. Or CCDIK.

You may have to go back to the original control rig tutorials showing the claw being added to the fortnite character to figure out how it’s supposed to be done.

Generally you don’t use control rig for IK.

  1. Create FABRIK node.
  2. Create the “Item Chain.”
  3. Plug the root bone into “First Item.”
  4. Plug the Child bone into “Last Item.”
  5. Create End Effector controller.
  6. Turn off “Set Effector Transform.”
