Hello everybody,
I have been trying to figure out where this issue is stemming from but I can’t figure it out so I am doing something I do rarely throw the question into the ether of the unreal forums and hope someone can help.
So I have done a Basic IK setup and when I connect it the knees bend slightly which gives me funky results since the Basic IK also seems to constrain the ankle joint to the effector ctrl afterwards.
Control rig has a premade function called ComputePoleVector. Try using thigh, calf, and foot for bones 1, 2, and 3 there, then either set location of your knee PV control from it before IK, or feed output straight to pole vector pin of Basic IK. Would obvs need to do this for each limb, but, yea.
Thanks for the reply
I tried that but it still seems to cause the same issue somehow. I tried the compute pole vector function but it seems like the pole vector was already in the correct spot, it didn’t change it sadly
Not sure what could be causing it but it kinda looks like the foot bone isn’t moving with the leg ik. Might just be the foot control object overriding the ik, and needs a reverse solve to reposition tee control. Or the control might be setup wrong somehow, I dunno. Control rigs break my IRL head socket for some reason.
