Control Rig: Copy animation from one sequencer to another

Is there a way to copy animation keys of one Control Rig from one sequencer to another identical Control Rig in another Sequencer?

I have a control rig animated on Sequencer A and would like to copy the Control Rig animation into Sequencer B.

These actions did not work:

  1. Select the control rig in sequencer A then copy it and paste “onto” the identical control rig in Sequencer B.
    a. This actually pasted a duplicate of the control rig in Sequencer B. The duplicate did not have animation on it.

  2. Select the Control Rig in Sequencer A and paste “into” Sequencer B.
    a. This just pasted the control rig into Sequencer B without animation.
