Control Rig Controls Missing from Sequencer

I created a character control rig, and it works great in the Control Rig Editor, but I’m running into issues trying to animate it in Sequencer.

Some of the controls, while they show up in the Viewport and in the Anim Outliner, don’t show up in Sequencer. This prevents me from keying them for animation, and thus prevents me from animating. I checked the settings in the Control Rig Editor and I can’t find anything set differently from the controls that do show up.

Any idea how to fix this issue?

I renamed a control in an existing Control Rig and the track disappeared, can’t seem to get it back unless I either rename it again or revert the Control Rig to a previous version. Using 5.3.2 for both Control Rig creation and animation.

Upon further inspection, my problem seems to be related to the fact that I was renaming a control to match a name previously held by another control; I’ll illustrate with an example:

I had two FK controls nested in each other. spine_01_ctrl and spine_02_ctrl. However, the names were incorrect as the 01 control should be numbered 02 and the 02 control should be numbered 03. I can rename spine_02_ctrl into spine_03_ctrl no problem and the sequencer track is still there.

However, when I then try to rename spine_01_ctrl into spine_02_ctrl, then the sequencer track disappears because (I guess) some internal mechanism is detecting that spine_02_ctrl used to be the name of a different control and something goes haywire.

Renaming it to something else brings it back.

having the same issue, beforehand I made an animation intro for my map with a britebomber rig I got. Now eve that doesn’t show up all the controls for animation like it did at first. Now I’m trying to animated something else and it wont show up any of the bones to animate it, its fully rigged so that isn’t the problem.
