I’m having a difficult time getting control points to import to the correct GCP.
I’ve imported a set of GCPs, they all show up with the correct label and coordinates - no problem there. When I import the control points (which correspond to the images and GCPs), some import to the GCP (showing up under the GCP grouping) while others just show up at the end of the list, and still others get imported into the wrong GCP altogether.
Is there a way to make sure that the control points will import correctly, or a preferred format to make this happen?
Thanks!
Hi Matthew
Are you sure about the proper format of the GCP files ? SPACE, TAB, COMMA used for the separation of values…
Can you make a screenshot of the IMPORT setting and the GCP files ?
Hi Wishgranter:
I broke up the control points by label to test this out, so I’ve attached the 3d GCPs, and two of the control points. When I import 1010, it adds a lot of them to 1007 (probably because the image file name is the same, but obviously each image can have multiple 2D control points).
I’ve verified the format is correct. It works fine until the image file name repeats, then it breaks.
Order is:
import GCP
import CP
I’ve also attached three screenshots:
Before.png: I’ve imported the 3D GCPs, and am now importing the control points one by one, I’ve imported 1007, correctly grouped them together manually. The same for 1008 and 1009 (here there was some strangeness too in that they would appear in other groups without ANY CPs).
After.png: I’ve now imported 1010, you can see the changes to 1007, that it has put many of 1010’s CPs into 1007
Remaining.png: These are the rest of 1010 that should appear under 1010, but instead show up as single points at the end of the list.
Thank you Matthew Vincent for your report.
This problem should be solved in the next release.
Thanks Kruzma!
Any idea when that might be?
