I like this software, and I can see myself incorporating it into my 3d workflow.
HOWEVER! The results from using it automatically are very inconsistent. I want to use control points to raise the quality of my output, but the options are greyed out and I cannot click or operate them. Is there something I am missing?
Hi Bennett Gross
As for the control points or GCPs, take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8naLEtLqDY
See also Help tutorials in the software.
I know this is reviving an old post, but had to comment
The posted video answers the question, appreciated! However if someone just said “Don’t forget to create a control point first in the 1Ds panel” that would have pointed them right to the issue.
Can I just say that… I see the answer to many questions being “See the help in the software”. The help docs are good, yes. But for specific questions like this note that it is very difficult to locate answers to specific issues by going through the help! And many times I find the sections in help only to find that it is not detailed enough, or doesn’t address the specific question. On top of that, many videos are out of date (yes I am aware the concepts are mostly the same) and the interface is changed, making it highly frustrating and time confusing to follow the guides.
Add to that one of the most confusing and non-intuitive UIs I’ve ever come across in my 20+ years of professional computing.
So please resist the urge to answer questions with “read the manual”. Thanks
