Control points archive

It is possible to work with control points until their list exceeds the screen height
It is impossible to merge two points that are too distant on the list.
and it is impossible to open a second 1Ds window to move a control point from one 1Ds window to the other.

Archived control points are normal control points , not zipped, not hidden, just grouped.
When importing control points or a component with control points, these imported points that were not auto-merged,
are displayed as

[+] colored icon 44 points

Right click and “Expand” or double click expands the list.
They are again displayed as normal control points, that can be merged, sorted , deleted.

1. An example list of control points, that exceeds the screen height

2. Points selected to archive. Right click to archive

3. Archived and not archived control points (colored icon

Archiving prevents accidental deletion of points that build a finished , imported component.
We can select these points, that we know they will not be used, should not be changed in further work,
right click and select Archive points.

Selected points are now displayed as
[+] ## points
and they are protected from accidental changes.

We can select other control points and Archive that creates a new archive
[+] 5 points
Now we can hold and move one archive to another, that will make
[+] 49 points
And double / right click to expand them into normal points.

Dear Abrimaal,

thank you for this feature request.

I need to correct you, it is possible to move/merge control points which are too far away in 1Ds view. The control point which you want to merge needs to be selected (click on it). Then click on it again and keep pushed the left mouse button and you can use middle mouse button (scroll wheel) to move in 1Ds view.

Also thank you for your ideas regarding the archived CPs.

Ok, one problem solved. Thanks for the hint.
I suggest also to

import control points as names

To avoid different names of the same point in various projects.
Well, a human doesn’t exactly remember if the point was named
window 1 L
or window 1-1L or win1L

Importing control points (or a component with CPs)
Even if there are no the same images in the project,
The app would ask

Point “name” not found in any image,
import it as a name?
[No to All] [No] [Yes] [Yes to All]

When [Yes] clicked, this point is added to the project with 0 images
User can add new images to this point.

Hi Abrimaal, thank you for your ideas. I added them to our database.
