control point usage

Hi,

I’ve got a figurine that’s 18.1cm tall that I’ve scanned using a turntable. I have 36 images from an upper-half view and 36 images from the lower-half view, with overlap between the two images sets from the knees up to the hips. I’ve been placing control points between the two sets of images, but the alignment is creating components that still only have the upper half and lower half separated.

Basically I can’t get the full figurine to reconstruct. Do I need to adjust the views so that there is more overlap? Or are there alignment settings I can tweak to make this work?

Hi Steve Park
I highly recommend you to take more images, as it’s the safest and fastest way…
Or take a look at the CP workflow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8naLEtLqDY

Have a look at the tutorial on Using components in the updated Help inside the program - especially its second part (Merging components) should be very useful in your case.
