Title: Ship of Heroes
As a UE4 generalist, you will be creating missions in UE4 from mission documents specifying the various components of the mission. You will create maps from existing assets and with our tools, and occasionally create specific props. You will populate goals and NPCs according to the mission document. You will test your mission before submitting it for play testing. You will continue to polish the mission through successive rounds of play testing.
As we are a small studio, you will likely get an opportunity to work on other things, according to your interests and skills and the needs of the game.
Required skills:
Proficiency in UE4
Familiarity with visual scripting
English language fluency
Proven ability to create 3D game environments (dungeons, mission maps, etc.,). Heroic Games will provide tools and props specific to Ship of Heroes.
Ability to create publishable AAA-quality content in reasonable times, using a script for specific actions and dialog.
Occasional needs for specific props or environmental additions may occur.
Candidate must be available full time or nearly full time. We need steady, regular production.
Ship of Heroes is a superhero MMORPG in a sci-fi environment. It is the first superhero MMORPG to be launched in 10 years. Ship of Heroes has been under development since 2016 and is expected to launch in the next 18 months. It is built on Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 and features high quality graphics and a unique art style.
Heroic Games Corporation, the developer of Ship of Heroes, is an American studio headquartered in the Midwest and exclusively focused on Ship of Heroes. All operations are virtual, with contributors from many parts of the country and the world. Several past contributors have since joined AAA studios, in part on the strength of their work on Ship of Heroes.
