As a talented Lead Programmer, you will develop our 3D video game gameplay as designed for our universe. Your goal is to plan and develop solid gameplay code as directed and planned. You will both code in C++ and understand Unreal Blueprints, completely.
IMU Studios is looking for an experienced Lead programmer to help us bring our game to market.
Working with the Unreal Engine, working alongside a team of designers and artists as we engineer our game.
Highly skilled as a Lead Programmer you will lead and mentor an enthusiastic and talented development as you take on a key leadership role in the technical development of our game.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of our projects
- Lead a team of programmers as you ensure technical excellence across assigned projects.
- Planning, testing, and maintenance of existing game code (UE4 C++ mostly)
- Development of new game-specific features and enhancements
- Take on a leadership role for technical development and optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer sciences or computer engineering.
- Proven experience leading and coaching a team to success
- 3+ years working in Agile development, preferably in a leadership position.
- Experience with both C++ and Unreal Engine
Preferred Experience
- Past experience in the game development industry.
- Past experience executing a title from conception to completion.
- Past experience with PC, SVN Server, and mobile platforms
- Experience maintaining a live, tested project
- Experience in computer network programming
Experience:
- Programming: 5 years (Preferred)
- Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
About the Position
Job Type: Full-time paid on the 17th of each month.
40-55 hours per week
CDN $35-$55 an hour for the first 6-months, based on experience and qualifications.
After 6-months a wage rate review will take place and we will negotiate an updated Agreement (if required).
You will work remotely. You will track your time. You set forward your hourly rate and currency of choice. IMU Studios Inc. is seeking team members for regularly paid Contract work.
