Is it possible to stop and restart a calculation with reality capture? I mean restart from the point where it has stopped and really restart the computer, not just set on pause. It is because I will probably have to many storage and that is why I want to expand my storage and therefore need to restart my computer. I think this should be possible because all the preliminary results are save to disk…

As long as you have set RC to NOT delete the cache on exit at least a large part of the calculations is saved. Some stuff will have to be recalculated though.
How do you restart the previous calculation when reality capture is closed?
depth maps are saved…
but non of the model generation.
so best case you can save half the time. depending on when you cancel.
just don’t delete the cache.
Ok, but how do you recall the existing depth maps when restarting reality capture?
Just start reconstruction again - it will pick what it can use and go from there…

just a quick note to say that since this thread was made we now have a button to continue the model calculation. You just select the model, and if it is incomplete you should see this button.
