Context menus dissapear in the editor

So I’m working with the water system in UE4 4.26 and editing the splines. After about 20 minutes, the context menus only appear for a few seconds and then disappear. I first noticed this when right clicking on a spline point. The menu comes and goes, so I can’t select anything. Up until this occurs, I am duplicating spline points and moving them. If I try and access any of the editor menus under File, Edit, Window or Help, the same thing happens. The only solution is to close the editor and relaunch it.

I’ve seen similar issues mentioned here on AH. Mainly by folks with GeForces 30xx running the most recent drivers. Apparently, rolling the drivers back may help with this.

Same issue. The context menus turned black. Hovering over an entry ‘sort-of’ worked, the sub entry would also appear, but was usually just a black rectangle.

Was poking around the Fantasy RPG Game (mini) pack when this occurred. I was examining the character BP. Might have had Paint.NET open.

And I’m on a beefy machine (RTX 2060, 64G ram, i7).

Didn’t get a screenshot.

I’m actually running a Nvidia 2080, with studio driver 461.72. I haven’t long updated windows to ver.20H2. Its after this update I have started noticing these problems. Would a previous nvidia driver work with windows 20H2. I had to download gigabyte motherboard drivers specific for this version of windows.

I wouldn’t put it past some kind of driver incompatibility. Whether it’s the mobo or the card (or even an OS update). Hard to tell, you’re definitely not alone. It seems specific to context menu.

But judging by what I’ve skimmed through in the last couple of moths, using an older GPU driver works for some people.

Might be worth a shot in case you run out of options.

I’m just going to leave this here:
