Hey there @gldsgns! I believe the editor is intended to retain the layout you had when you last closed the project itself. If possible, open the editor, close the undocked content browser and open one attached to the window. Save a custom layout, save the project, then close it. Upon reopening it, does the issue persist?
Alternatively you can edit the default itself.
