Content Browser Search Improvements

Any planned improvements for content searching? Maybe utilizing metadata more formally and employing more categories and semantic tags for targeted queries? Possibly allowing for filtering of styleSets (asteria, art deco, etc), construction type, pattern, etc; irrespective of whatever the filename is?

Finding exactly what I’m looking for from pre-existing props is quite a cumbersome, manual process.

For example, searching for “stair” yields many false positives (screenshot attatched)

Finding specific flooring is probably the most tedious. Attempting to search for “floor concrete tile” yields 0 results.

Additionally, most of the floors are named “Floors Generic BasicTile”. Which reveals nothing about the individual style sets or construction material.

I suppose as well, if metadata were more formalized, as action could be imaged that allows one to RMB over an asset in the content browser, and “Search for Related” (effectively creating a filter string some sub-set of the selected assets metadata attribute names / values). You could quickly locate style set items or similar construction types or patterns.

Another good example is the disambiguation of “tile”… it’s both a modular asset descriptor and a construction / material element

Thank you for your feedback. While I cannot guarantee a response, I can confirm that this has been forwarded to the appropriate team.
