Constant Crashing

Happens every time I run RC on my main computer - 9700k, 32gb 3200 Gskill, 2080…  Is there any way for me to get to an openable log file so I can see what’s up?  I submit crash log everytime, yet to be contacted a month or two later.

Thanks in advance!  FWIW RC works perfectly on my laptop with 7700k and 1060.

Also - Steam Product, paid version

Hello Andy,

the log file is automatically saved and it is called RealityCapture.log. Most often you can find it here:

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\RealityCapture.log

Once the crash appears again, please do not open the application but search for this log and please send a screenshot of the last lines. Once you open the application again, log is automatically rewritten.

According to the progress bar state I suspect that the crash might be in a reconstruction phase. Please try to update your GPU driver to the latest ones or try to install several drivers.

It seems to happen in all phases; sometimes nearly immediately before pics are even aligned - other times it’ll be 30 mins in.  Is there anything I can look for in windows event viewer or elsewhere to open the dump file?

Tried again after fresh driver clean installs.  New error, first time I’ve seen this

Is there somewhere else you’d like me to send the log?  Thanks!

Hello Andy,

please take a look at this post:

There are some tips you can try to prevent this error.

Appreciate the direction, but that’s not my issue.  My GPU is in a water loop and does not get above 60C.  Drivers are freshly installed and power management options are all turned off.  Is there any way for me to open the crash logs (that are submitted) and have a look myself?
