console cmds aren't running when I hit play

I’ve never gotten this to work and I’ve followed instructions online where this has been asked. It simply doesn’t run my commands when I hit play.

Have you tried putting a delay node in at the beginning?

Yes, still doesn’t work

Ok, and I’m going to ask a dumb question now… Did you put the blueprint in the level?

What do you mean “in the level?” I saved it to the blueprints folder.

So you made this ‘fix shadows’ blueprint, but it won’t work unless you put an instance of it in the level.

It’s not letting me add it, giving me the red x

I think you might have made the blueprint from the wrong type. It looks like a component, and it should come from ‘actor’.

It doesn’t matter, because you can just copy your code to the level blueprint for this level

Very nice that fixed it. I just have one other question. How do I run these settings when editor starts (not just when I hit play?)

Apparently, there is a console variables editor panel

I’m confused what you’re showing me. I just want to create a blueprint for the editor itself, not for only when I hit ‘begin play.’

Yes, still doesn’t work

Works for me in editor mode…

You’re right. So this means my HDR setting is being applied in the editor as well?
