Confused on how to get animations imported without breaking

Hello all,

I have an interesting issue. When I import my model it does not have a skeleton being an obj file. I have its animations in separate FBX files. Since I do not have the main model with its skeleton base is there a way to use one of the FBX files to help import the others? Regularly when I was able to import one of the FBX it just imported into many pieces. Any help would be appreciated, I am fairly new to this and quite frustrated.
