Composite Mesh Issue in Composure
I’m not sure if this is going to end up being very obvious but I work somewhere that has a new studio that does motion capture & VP. I’ve used the Composure plugin and understand the gist of how it works but I’m having an issue that I’ve not seen anyone else run into and have not been able to find any answers through research.
There is always a black bar running down my Composite Mesh (see image attached).
This doesn’t pose an issue when initially looking through the digital camera, but when using it for VP and doing camera tracking, moving the camera around or panning along the scene ends up showing this bar as if it’s part of the environment. I have tried to make sure to match up my resolution and aspect ratio of the digital camera to the physical camera, tried enabling mipmaps (but as soon as I key the green out, the black area returns), tried playing around with the way the texture wraps around the mesh, and even tried seeing if the issue was the shape of the default composite mesh but this bar exists even if I make my “composite mesh” a random cube or sphere. I tried playing around and figuring out whether it’s a material/texture problem too but couldn’t get to the bottom of it. It also always changes position when I do a new session. Sometimes, it’s on the right, sometimes on the left, sometimes in the middle, all depending on where the composite mesh ends up in the scene.
I am new to the whole VP thing but if anyone has anyyyy ideas, please please let me know. Any suggestions help! ![]()
Additional info: I am using a BlackMagic PYXIS 6K Camera, tracking it using Motive and an OptiTrack setup, plugging it into the PC using a Decklink capture card, and putting it into Unreal Engine using a BlackMagic media source as a Media Profile. Then putting it all through to Composure (tested in both UE5.7 and UE5.8).
