If it’s the same mesh, you can set it manually in the mesh editor. Or is the animation created in a third-party software?
I have a giant spinning gear animation that I would like the player to be able to step onto and ride around as it spins. I would like the collision to be very precise so you can fall off through the gear’s teeth or center hole. I have static mesh version that I used “Complex to simple collision” in the bulk edit property matrix and it’s perfect. The animation version does not seem to have such options. What is my best bet? And if it’s super complicated, could you please list the process of how to get something like that working? Because I have many animated objected that I would to have a similar effect.
The gear is made and animated in blender 2.8
I don’t think you can set Complex as Simple for an animated mesh. But if it’s just a rotating gear, you can animate it in UE, and then you’ll be able to set complex collision.
