Complete newbie here - making lighting in FPS like 90s FPS

I’m a complete beginner and the whole lighting system in UE4 seems very complicated to me. I don’t want any fancy lighting for the project I have in mind. I think lights are described as “Actors” and they seem intricate (relying on Blueprints etc…). I would like to make a very primitive FPS with sprites as enemies and I would like everything to be lit like 90s old-school FPS. I do not want to use physics or anything modern or fancy.

What setting should I use? Thanks for your help

I dont really remember how exactly 90s FPS are looks, but probably diffuse texture on emissive slot with unlit shading mode will give you a good starting point.
Cube in the scene are have that “unlit shader”.
