Compiling shaders three times before I touch anything?

I just got Unreal Engine (5.0) for the first time. I had the same load experience in terms of “compiling shaders” as other Mac users in the past, but when I tried to create my first project, it started to recompile all of the shaders again. Once the project loads, it proceeds to prepare all of the shaders.

Is this something I should expect from using this program, or are there some configuration issues I should be aware of. I searched this particular issue with no luck, and am here for the first time, so I am sorry if there is some obvious solution that I am missing.

Any help wold be greatly appreciated. My first impression is that it is really tempting just to run back to Blender.
