Compiling my game for linux


Along with UE4.13 download 500mb to compile for linux, but this does not work.

Have some document pray that this can work well as those 500mb lowered. ???

I’d also like to point out this answerhub thread as I’m not sure if you’re concerned about the size of your game or the size of the compiled engine + editor.

A Linux build includes debug symbols. If you don’t want them, you can use the strip command to get rid of them. I was able to get my resulting shipping executable down to about 100 MB after I got rid of debug and unneeded symbols. Note that I haven’t tested the resultant executable after running strip, but it SHOULD work.

No, When I install UE4.13 tells me that if I want to install 500mb to compile for linux from windows, but it does not work.
