Compare Float node changed in development without warning

Why did the fix something that wasn’t broken??

the compare float (v4.21) node was very convenient. But for some reason the new version of the engine (v4.24) has the Error Tolerance removed.

Floats are rarely exactly the same, so that makes this node practically useless now.


Why and when is this changed? where do I find any documentation on this change?

and what do they suggest is the “proper way” to do this?

The whole thing now seems to be needed to replaced by this less clear, more bulky piece of code now.

What engine version was this from - the one with tolerance?

Oh sorry, I made this project in 4.21 i believe and now i’m working in 4.24

You can always double click it and adjust it the way you need.
