First part of the tutorial series on how to build a fully customizable fireworks system in Niagara! In this one I’ll cover most of the Blueprint logic setup, and we’ll finish it by adding a placeholder VFX to test its functionality.
System features:
- Easy to set up and fully customizable
- Easy to expand with more trail types/explosion effects/etc.
- Rocket and explosion use different Niagara systems so GPU emitters are supported (no event handler required)
- Firework explosions can have unlimited effect layers combined
- Easy to use in Sequencer to set up more complex firework shows
- Smoke from trails and explosions is lit by fireworks
- Included 2 types of trails (simple/spiral) and 6 different explosion effects (simple radial, cone, disc, sparkler, image-based and radial trails)
