This is a very interesting #tutorial to control #UnrealEngine with #TouchOSC.

TouchOSC is a paid application (unfortunately) for Android and Iphone that allows us to create simple interfaces with buttons and other controls. Through the OSC plugin, we will be able to read this information and update Unreal in #realtime. We will use the version for Iphone but with Android it should work the same way.

TouchOSC is a tool that is widely used in virtual production environments, so it is important to know how to use it.

In our TouchOSC application we will do all these:

  • camera select control.
  • raise and lower a video screen.
  • change screen videos.
  • Raise and lower the stage lights.

This tutorial is made up of two parts. In this one, we will create the interface in TouchOSC and connect to Unreal Engine to check that we receive the signal correctly. In the second we will connect each control to the different elements of Unreal to perform the tasks we need.
