The MetaSound Preset Widget interface allows you to create custom user interfaces that can be hosted inside of the MetaSound Editor. The interface provides a reference to the preset’s Builder object, through which you can utilize full power of the MetaSound Builder API.
MetaSound Viewmodels (released in UE 5.6 as the TechAudioTools engine plugin) use the UMG Viewmodel framework to expose the metadata, input, and output properties of a given MetaSound so they can easily be bound to and controlled by UMG widgets.
The TechAudioTools Content plugin (released for UE 5.7 on FAB) combines these two features to create reusable and customizable widgets designed for editing MetaSound preset inputs and for building other kinds MetaSound utility widgets.
This tutorial covers the basics of setting up a MetaSound preset widget using content from the TechAudioTools Content plugin.
