Set up a multi-node nDisplay cluster for in-camera VFX on a real production LED stage, not a single-machine demo. This tutorial walks through a 5-node cluster (4 LED wall nodes + 1 ceiling node), each with an RTX 6000 Ada and an NVIDIA RTX PRO Sync card, genlocked to an external tri-level sync generator and driven through a Brompton Tessera SX40.
You will learn how to:
- Read the system architecture: sync daisy-chain and an isolated 10GbE render subnet
- Find and record each node’s IP address
- Configure and verify genlock in the NVIDIA Control Panel (server vs. client, refresh rate, color settings)
- Build an nDisplay config with mesh projection, including a 4K signal mapped to a square ceiling
- Add an ICVFX camera, link a CineCamera actor, and switch to the NVIDIA render sync policy
- Deploy and verify the cluster with Switchboard and Multi-User
Windows, UE 5.5. Camera tracking, color calibration and lens integration are out of scope.
