Welcome
If you’re interested in constructing your very own Piece Control Map, you’re in the right place.
What is a Piece Control Game?
In Fortnite, “piece control” refers to a player’s ability to control the environment by building structures or “pieces” quickly and effectively. This allows the player to dictate the flow of a fight, limit an opponent’s options, and create opportunities to land shots.A “Piece Control Game” in Fortnite Creative would be a custom game mode or map designed specifically to practice and improve your piece control skills. These maps often present players with various scenarios to build and edit structures quickly, enhancing their spatial awareness, decision making, and mechanics.Typically, a player in these games will try to claim as many building pieces (walls, floors, ramps, etc.) as possible by replacing an opponent’s builds with their own. The objective is to effectively box in an opponent, giving the player full control over the engagement.

How it Works
Players start in a pregame that counts down to a designated time. Once the timer expires, players will find themselves in a space where they can select their teams. After team selection, players are transported to a team holding area. This area acts as a player-check mechanism, ensuring that each holding area has at least one player. If the player count falls short, you’ll be whisked away to the game end area, informing you about the lack of players.
However, when enough players are present, a new game countdown initiates, transporting players to the main game level. Upon securing an elimination, both involved players return to the team holding area for an additional round (this tutorial covers only three rounds, with the initial round beginning at the game start). After the final round, players are transported back to the game end room, where they can choose to start again or join another game.
Important Things to Know
This tutorial does not include how to continue the rotation of the game mode. If player elect to rematch, be sure to initiate a backup system that would enable all the disabled mechanics required to start the loop.
