Hi. I was one of the very early beta testers and was offered a licence for all uses. (as I recall I don't have the email anymore)
I totally understand all good things must end, but I wanted to understand that if I install the community addition will I loose 2023.1.2?
I want to check out community addition, but not if it means loosing current version. I want to understand what the potential advantages of the new version are, but equally I am happy to be left behind on this version :)
I agree with you. I dont want to lose my other TM versions because some things were better in earlier versions.
I am disappointed that so many bugs and known issues still exist as noted in the new release notes.
$795 to purchase and the grass STILL has issues from years ago that are not resolved.
While I am thankful for the previous versions while TM was in the development stages I hesitate to fully purchase the program with so many known issues (many impacting results and use) still dysfunctional and unresolved.
I don't have any complaints with the software, however I am concerned the licence has changed. Or I have misinterpreted what the original licence was. I don't think I am commercial use but at best its going to be a grey area.
If I need to purchase then I need to be sure its worth it at this stage. I just want to know:
If I download community addition, will the previous additions now be gone from my account?
Well my current version is still install thankfully. The new version has Lumen, when I turn that on everything looks like it is shimmering under water, so not a lot of use to me!
I'm in the same boat, I ve always been a big fan of epic for providing us such great tools for free... But I need to make sure of this part of your question:
I came here to search for confirmation that my early adopter free license has come to en end?
Or is it because the preview releases will only be available via the Community Edition so once it will be launch I will have access to it as before?
Yes that text is there but under the info on already purchased commercial licences.
I cannot and am not complaining. I am sure that email years ago said for ever, but how long is that anyhow :)
My concern is installing the community addition is kind of the next thing. I suspect/fear that all previous version labelled trials or releases will disappear.
Does anyone have the original email when twinmotion first released under Epic? I am sure it said it could be used commercially. This is where I may have a problem moving forward.
