Communicating Between Trigger Box and Widget

im fairly new to to unreal and im trying to make it so when a player steps through a trigger it hides someone on their ui

but i cant seem to get the two blueprints to communicate
am i doing something wrong?

You must create your widget and set the variable to communicate with it.

but now i have another issue where the ui isnt getting hidden in game
and only gets hidden when i use event tick
