Hey Guys,

i just wanted to ask if UE can be used for animations like musicvideo or product video or some shortmovies/clips (typical for Instagram 4 example).
I saw that article about the two licenses but its not clear for me if its legal to use UE for musicvideo animations
"This license is free to use and incurs 5% royalties when you monetize your game or other interactive off-the-shelf product and your lifetime gross revenues from that product exceed $1,000,000 USD. "
Is a musicvideo interactive? In my oppinion no. also it doesnt get 1,000,000 in income…

Yes.

Music videos are not interactive so the Publishing 1m license does not apply. You need Creators license, videos are linear content:
