Hello everyone, I have a question. I’m an indie horror game developer, and I don’t have much experience with 3D modeling, so many of the assets in my game are from the Unreal Marketplace. Here’s my question: if I use assets from Quixel Megascan or other developers that have a “standard license,” will I run into any legal or commercial issues? I also use Poly Haven, as I’d like to publish the game in the future. Sorry for the question, but these things just popped into my head. Thanks to anyone who reads this. Best regards.
Hey @Soyelmejrrrr.
Here you can find a breakdown of the differences between the licences offered on Fab
If you choose the Standard license type, you can provide two price tiers. Buyers will choose between these tiers based on their specific revenue requirements.
- Personal - for buyers who have not generated more than $100,000 USD in gross revenue from commercial activity in the last 12 months.
- Professional - for buyers who have generated more than $100,000 USD in gross revenue from commercial activity in the last 12 months.
As for other platforms, we aren’t able to comment on that, and you would need to research the licenses on said platforms.
I hope this helps! ![]()
