Combining multiple meshes with LOD on import

I am using 3DS Max and UE 4.5 preview. In my scene file i have multiple instances of an object (LOD group). I export those objects to FBX.

When I import the file with “Import mesh LOD’s” flag OFF, and “Combine meshes” flag ON, I get combined mesh. When i set “Import mesh LOD’s” flag ON, I am getting all exported instances imported as separate objects (each with own LOD).

Does it work as intended, or is it a bug?
