Combined move/rotate/scale gizmo?

I’m just wondering if anyone knows if there is an option somewhere (or maybe a plugin) for a combined gizmo that has all three translations controls on it. They do it in the Modeling Mode but not in the normal selection mode when moving an actor around. I have to keep hitting space bar to switch between move, rotate, scale. Why can’t they just all be on the gizmo like in the modeling mode?

Found an option in Editor Preferences → Level Editor → Viewports → Look and Feel → Enable Combined Translate/Rotate Widget, couldn’t find anything for all 3 transforms operations

use W,E,R which is standard for most modeling apps. Definitely don’t want to use space to cycle through. if you remap space to toggling the viewport panels so it behaves like maya you will have better ergonomics when placing things in the viewport, because making selections and such is often easier if you have some orthographic panels available. then with spacebar if you can quickly close them you can get back to having nice big workspace.

the combined gizmo is useful and i think default hotkey is alt+w once you have it enabled.

also be aware of the gizmo-free movement options which are hold CTRL + Left click and drag to move in X axis, right click to move in Y axis, and Left plus right mouse to move in Z axis.

If you are doing much placement in the viewport this will help a lot with that. anytime you have to hunt and peck precisely with the mouse you are making a lot of progress towards RSI.

there is also some snapping helpers on the marketplace which I find invaluable for level design. being able to easily snap actors to precise points is essential for ergonomic work and unreals default snapping tools just aren’t good enough.

Thank you both. Very useful information you have provided. Just need to practice the hot keys to commit them to memory.
