I’ve shot around 700 photos from a drone straight down, from a drone sideways and from the ground with my DSLR. When CR aligns the images only the first photo set from the drone straight down is used (see screenshot). How can i tell CR to use all my other photos, too? Because each individual image set is working, i’ve tested that.

What settings have you used for this project ? just default or ??
Try to remove all COMPONENTS except the largest one and then change ALIGNMENT settings like in this screenshot and try to align it again…

Unfourtunately still only the topshots are used. Isn’t there a tutorial out on how to combine different components / photo sets?

if you used the recommended settings, then it seems the overlap of images is not so good, it would be the best to take some additional images to get the areas covered with better overlap and, in principle, if you do it properly, you do not need to play with control points (CPs) to get it together…
