I have one question. Is possible to use mesh generated by image only in the areas where scan don’t cover? something like the parameter “weight in texturing” but only for mesh generation
Hi llex1975,
it is possible. You need to find those places in the aligned point cloud. First, select all images and disable them for meshing in 1Ds view:
Then select those parts without laser scan using Point Rect or Point Lasso tool and then use tool Find Images:
This will select all cameras from this area, which you can enable for meshing the same way how you disabled them.
thank you Ondrej Trhan CR, but the problem is different…i have laser scan (400 scan pose) with 3000 images that cover the same space…scan cover all the ground area and images cover ground area + roof tops. i want use mesh from scan for ground and i want to use images for coloring all ares and meshing the roof tops area only…if i use scan + images the mesh is very splotchy…maybe i can turn off area for every images that overlaps with scan but it’s too long to do manualy…so i ask if is possible to do automatically or there is some trick to obtain this
What do you mean by splotchy? Do you have some images of it? How are these datasets aligned?
I think, that you can do this only manually - to turn off or on images on places, where you want to use them for modelling.
maybe splotchy is not correct… i mean noisy…scan mesh is perfect and regular
Can you show a print screen of it? It could be a result of wrong alignment… But hard to say without seeing it.
